We are the Agroextractive Cooperative of Mapia and Médio Purus

COOPERAR is located in the Amazon, our objective is to promote the economic and social development of rural communities through sustainable production and fair trade of agroextractive products.

Cooperar’s most significant work is with native cocoa. Considered by leading experts as EXCELLENT COCOA, its almonds contain fruity, floral aromas, a striking and original flavor from the Amazon rainforest. The processing is carried out in riverside communities along the Purus River, the cooperative members work to protect and multiply native cocoa trees, collect, ferment and dry the cocoa beans, the work carried out guarantees the generation of work, income, social inclusion and environmental preservation. Our cocoa is intended for the production of fine chocolates in Brazil and abroad.

Products with our own manufacture

At the COOPERAR Agroindustry, we manufacture Native Cocoa by-products, which are Cocoa powder, Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Nibs and Cocoa Vinegar.

We are in the heart of the Amazon’s wealth, where we diversify our production, from Brazil nuts we have: dehydrated almonds, flour, paste and cold-pressed oil.

From the sesame seed grown on the banks of the Purus River we also produce oil and Tahini (Sesame paste) much appreciated in oriental cuisine, in this way we value local culture and strengthen the socioeconomic fabric of riverside families.
